Marissa Kim

Marissa Kim is a corporate lawyer with deep experience in the blockchain, cryptocurrency and fintech space. She works with blockchain startups and Fortune 500 companies, and advises hedge funds and other investors on the legal aspects of digital assets and tokenization, and in structuring investments.

Ms. Kim began her legal career at Skadden Arps in New York, where she worked on M&A and corporate finance transactions for large banks and asset managers, structured and closed PE and hedge funds and advised clients on securities law and FINRA.

Steeped in the cryptocurrency industry, Ms. Kim is a co-founder and partner of ARK, a strategic advisory and investments firm focused on the blockchain and digital asset space. ARK’s portfolio includes Telegram, Securrency, Unblockable, Good Money, Omega One and MetaCert. She is a frequent speaker at crypto conferences.

Ms. Kim knows what it’s like working with internal clients to try to get deals done. After leaving Skadden, she was director of business and legal affairs at ipsy, a subscription-based cosmetic company. She also served as VP of brand partnerships for a retail-focused media company.
