Natasha W. Monahan
Senior Associate
A former senior corporate counsel with Critical Path, Natasha Monahan has a strong background in corporate law and IP. She assists clients with a variety of corporate, IP, M&A, licensing transactions, vendor contracts and other matters. She has experience working with CFOs preparing and analyzing financial statements, and with investor relations. She has worked on numerous IPOs and corporate filings.
At Time Warner, where she was in the corporate legal department, Ms. Monahan advised Senior VP-level executives on equity investments, general corporate, consumer products, intellectual property licensing, and transfer of software, Internet, film, TV, music, animation, and photography.
She has worked with startups and investment groups on general corporate matters, long-term business plans, capitalization tables and valuations. She also advises clients on compliance and board governance, and drafts internal policies, including employee handbooks.
In addition to her in-house work, Ms. Monahan practiced with a Los Angeles corporate law boutique for five years. She also interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission, and was judicial aid to U.S. District Judge William J. Rea in Los Angeles.
In addition to English, Ms. Monahan speaks fluent French, conversational Spanish, and basic Japanese. She is the founder of San Francisco Women in Finance, and serves on various community boards.
