Yusuke Hisashi

Yusuke Hisashi is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with practical experience in media, intellectual property, and technology transactions. He comes to Gamma Law in 2022 after completing a position in Japan’s Patent and Intellectual Property Right Protection offices.

He brings a comprehensive understanding of American and Japanese business cultures and contract, negotiation, and licensing customs.

Mr. Hisashi previously served as an in-house legal consultant for the international sports streaming service DAZN Japan Investment in Tokyo. His duties included drafting content licensing and acquisition contracts, and negotiating local-use terms, conditions, and privacy policies with sports organizations, technology service providers, and other entities.

His previous work within the Japanese civil service includes managing counterfeiting cases and other global intellectual property issues and such as representing a foreign government in a trademark dispute with a Japanese company and requesting trade partners implement greater protections against counterfeit Japanese products.
